There isn’t a meeting to announce (yet) or a new event (Summer national event has already been announced), but there is much movement on the front of the PDP virtual study group area.
I’m in a dilemma - to newsletter, or not to newsletter.
On one hand, it is important to make this resource available to all the PDP participants so that it can start becoming useful ASAP. On the other hand, only a handful of the people getting the newsletter will be PDP people. The rest will only get bored, or worse, feel left out.
So now, I’m on the prowl for what I can put on the newsletter. Suggestions welcome.
Oh Yes! Sushma had sent an email to be forwarded to HR contacts about a social networking event to be held on the 29th. I’ll make a post about it and then I can talk about it in the newsletter. This will mean that the newsletter needs to go out soon, so that people come to know about it.
But I usually don’t send out newsletters for non-ISABS announcements, so this will not do, I guess…….
The meeting got canceled, or we would have a report of it and the announcement for the next meeting. I guess we could plan a monthly meeting fast and announce it…..
I suggest that the news letter can have a regular periodicity of once a month. This should cover all the events that have happened in the chapter or the announcements that we want to make. I am offering to draft the newsletters, if you can download any info that needs to go on newsletter to me as and when you get it. I will store it in my folder and put it all together every month so that we can shoot it by 7th of every month.
As for the rest of the events, the site is there to carry the news on a daily basis.
Another suggestion. The breaking news section can show the lastest 5 news items and for the rest of the news, the readers can go to archives month wise.
