Hi, This is Vikram here.
We have increased the event cost to ensure there is adequate funding to run the event. Scholarships are available to those you need them.
You need to write to the chapter scholarship committee on isabs.mumbai@gmail.com.

We intend to continue offering scholarships to deserving individuals and run the event on a no profit no loss basis. The scholarship amount could vary between Rs. 5000/- to Rs. 15000/- for NGOs, self-sponsored individuals.

The scholarship committee has devised a point system to award scholarships. The scholarship rationale and criterion will be put up here by Friday. Meanwhile, if you are keen to attend the event, do send in your nomination with the scholarship application.

We already have around 15 nominations against a planned capacity of 48 participants.

Thanks,

Vikram

I have just spoken with Shridhar, and the amount mentioned in the fees is correct - it is Rs.18,000/-

For participants who require scholarships, the procedure is the same as usual - contact the local chapter and apply for a scholarship. All participants needing scholarships will then be assessed according to the new structure that has been developed (I don't know the exact details of that) and the available funds for scholarship will be distributed suitably among the participants.

I think this covers most of the queries addressed to me regarding this matter. Feel free to take this discussion further if there is anything that remains unclear.

I got the brochure from Vikram, and put it up as it is. The only change I made was the conversion into pdf format.

Now, the thing is that it mentions costs as Rs.18,000/- This is about twice the usual costs, and I am getting queries about this. I tried to contact Vikram, but he's unavailable.

Meanwhile, I am bringing this up here, so if anyone else knows, they can help us, or whatever we find out can be public, and everyone wondering about it can rest in peace.
